3 ways to motivate yourself to exercise when you really don’t feel like it

In our last blog post “Summer bodies are made in winter –Start now!” we discussed ways to stay fit even in autumn and winter, but we all have those days when we really, really don’t feel like exercising, and no amount of “fun fitness tips’’ will help. Here’s what to do on those days.

Find your ‘’why’’
Ask yourself why you’re exercising in the first place. Is it to be healthier, to get in shape, to reach a healthier weight? Whatever your reason, state it clearly and focus on that. When you have a clear goal to look forward to, you know how to measure progress, and you can visualize what success looks like better.

Reward yourself
Set up milestones and give yourself small rewards for reaching your milestones. If your goal is to be more physically active, and your chosen form of exercise is running; promise yourself a small reward once you’re able to run a certain distance, and a bigger reward 3 months down the line for staying committed. This way, you will have something to look forward to.

Scroll through Instagram
There is nothing more motivating than seeing people with similar goals working on them. If that does not motivate and inspire you, it will stir up some healthy competitiveness. And that’s sure to push you to get off the couch and exercise.

If none of the above work to motivate you, we're pretty sure the idea of earning more Active Dayz should do the trick. And the more you earn, the better your rewards. Get active now!
